for thousands of years, God's people have
lifted their voices in praise to Him. whether it
be through chants, hymns, psalms, or
contemporary music of the day - His people
sing praise to Him.

at CBC Ventura, we have taken a
contemporary approach to worship. we
choose songs in hope that we can reach our
community with something relevant that is
consistant with God's eternal truth. we
respect the hymns our brothers and sisters
have been singing for centuries, and
incorporate 1 or 2 (with a modern flair) into
services on a regular basis.

worship is about God, not about self. we
choose songs that are more outwardly
focused, about attributes of God and how they
relate to us, not the other way around. we
play songs by David Crowder, Hillsong, Aaron
Gillespe, Jon Foreman, Phil Wickham and
others.
